Description

Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.” Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne. When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.

  • It was better then the critics made it out to be

I always take the critics' reviews with a grain of salt, what they don't like I usually end up liking and what they like I sometimes end up not liking too much. Besides I wanted to watch this since the first trailer came out. True the shaking camera effect was too much in some of the fight scenes, to the point that I couldn't even see what was going on but I like the movie. The sassy-ness of the main character was spot on, added the right sprinkle of humor. I didn't notice this until the end but the main characters' name was never mentioned (until the end) which I thought was actually refreshing. I think I would actually buy this movie.
  • Oof turned it off after 20 minutes

Was hoping for some good, dumb fantasy fun. Instead it was just so bad we had to turn it off after 20 minutes or so and find something more rewarding to do with our time.

Great movie and great new take on an old legend. I hope they make sequels.
  • Rotten tomatoes accuracy has withered and is unreliable yet again

This movie was refreshing, exciting and fun . Yes more fantasy and myth were present in this depiction ... isn't king Author a legend anyway!? The artist did an outstanding job with cgi and special effects, nicely done! Rotten tomatoes cynicism has left a bad stench of the reliability of their reviews ... I find their negative criticism rotten and give them a 32%

What a blast of a movie! Everything, the story, amazing cast with great chemistry, incredible music, well done, and on and on. DO NOT listen to the critics, if you like classic Guy Ritchie, this movie will knock your socks off! What the hell is wrong critics, a bunch of pompous asses, wth?!

Unfortunately it's another gnostic/luciferian based remake like the movie The Matrix. Other than symbolic references like that, this movie was well done and the masses will never notice.

So my opinion might be a BIT biased as I absolutely adore Charlie Hunnam... but... putting that aside, I actually enjoyed this movie a lot. It was entertaining, funny, some good fight scenes and the acting was pretty good. Jude Law makes an excellent "bad guy" as well so all in all, time well spent watching this.

This is just the kind of movie professional movie critics hate. I believe it is because of a political slant towards the right in the movie. That being: strength = peace. Plus, the movie was just flat out bada$$. Enjoy.
