While it had some old Hollywood feel to it at times (which I loved) and great acting, I can do without the language and stupid ending. Seriously what the heck was the writer thinking? I wanted the fairy tale ending and this just hacked me off big time. So much hype but So disappointed I’m asking for a refund...

  • Beyond Amazing!

La La Land is just beautiful, amazing, a lot of good words. The cast did a great job, the music was fantastic. Damian Chazelle did a great job directing this masterpiece. The first half was great, the second half was also great and has unexpected plot twists (like the ending). The chemistry between Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling was priceless. I listen to the soundtrack everyday and it makes me feel good so watch both movie and listen to the soundtrack. La La Land is a wonderful masterpiece. I definitely would recommend you to go see this movie. Everyone has to watch this movie at one point in there lives. You'll love it! If I can give it more than 5 stars I would do it. 10/10
  • High School Play at Best

After the critics fell over frothing over this movie, i finally purchased and screened in on 1-2-18. And all I can say is "what the hell?" The entire movie was so high school in quality and depth that I had to scrub through it. The actors are likeable but hardly talented enough to carry a "musical," and I use that term lightly. There is simply no comparison to the Hollywood musicals of the 40s and 50s. This was a high school production at best. Boring, boring, boring.
  • simply boring

I couldn't get past the first 30 minutes of it...I did try hence why I got to 30 minuntes of it. I think this is one of those movies the hype took over and everyone dare not say its amazing...this poorly orgastrated attempt was just a lame attempt of the golden age of film that was just flat. Sometimes hollywood trys too hard and so do the critics...this is one of those times. Should you see this film? sure if you never have to pay for it...but even then remember I told you so...its bad!

Fantastic movie!! Loved the ending- truly surprised on how good it was!! A little bit over-exposed after release though... but doesn’t change how good the movie was!!
  • A masterpiece for the ages (and dreamers/romantics)

This movie is just mindblowing. It's breathtaking. It's beautiful. It's colourful. But it also has heart and will leave you in floods of tears if you are a true romantic who believes in dreams. The acting was outstanding, Emma Stone in particular, the music was a true work of art...I could go on all day. This is my favourite movie of all time and I usually dislike 21st century movies. A beautiful homage to Hollywood, jazz, Los Angeles and the fools who dream.
